Ute Sitte (Sitting out)

Sitting out
Mound top for a bed
Stars are my blanket
And cloak around my back
Pole Star shining down
From the lofty heights
Ute Sitte
Underneath the Northern Lights

All is quiet
But the breathing of the pines
And the whispers of the Ancient ones
Weaving in my mind
Dreams and visions
Pass before my eyes
Ute Sitte
Underneath the Northern Lights

Casting runes for knowledge
Wodans guide my hand
No musty meekness here
The Old Ways have come again!

Faces watch
From the edges of the wood
Gifts are given
Oaths are made
For the common good
One star watches
unmoving through the night
Ute Sitte
Underneath the Northern Lights

The leaves of the fall
Feed the leaves of the spring
Frost covers them all
Until the sun comes back again
Wodans watches
From the northern skies
Ute Sitte
Underneath a Northern Eye

Casting runes for knowledge
Wodans guide my hand
No musty meekness here
The Old Ways have come again!
