One Eyed Stranger
Tune: Buck Owen's "Tall, Dark Stranger"
Sound clip (external link)

Keep watch for a one eyed stranger
Should he come wandering into your town.
A one eyed stranger can mean danger
For we all know Lord Odin gets around.

Chorus:
Many named, he wanders the nine worlds,
Seeking knowledge in various guise.
For his searching out wisdom is endless,
As always on brave Sleipnir he rides, rides, rides!

He may come simply guised as a worker,
Or a stranger just passing through.
He may shift to a creature unhuman,
And he'll surely get the better of you.

Chorus:
Many named, he wanders the nine worlds
Seeking knowledge in various guise.
For his searching out wisdom is endless,
As always on brave Sleipnir he rides, rides, rides!

It's been said he's seductive of women
If an end to his means they'll ensue.
So cast ye an eye out ye women,
For Allfather just might tarry with you.

Chorus:
Many named, he wanders the nine worlds
Seeking knowledge in various guise.
For his searching out wisdom is endless,
As always on brave Sleipnir he rides, rides, rides!

So, keep watch for a one eyed stranger
Should he come wandering into your town.
A one eyed stranger can mean danger
For we all know Lord Odin gets around.

Chorus:
Many named, he wanders the nine worlds
Seeking knowledge in various guise.
For his searching out wisdom is endless,
As always on brave Sleipnir he rides, rides, rides!
