I met him in a booth at a renaissance fair
Where you drink cheap mead, and the guys look a bit foreboding
And all got a load on
He beckoned to me and he asked me to come
I asked him his name and in a dark blue voice he said Odin,
O-d-i-n Odin O-o-o-o Odin
Well I'm not the world's most courageous guy
But when he gave me that look I felt a chill down my spine
Oh my, it's Odin O-o-o-o Odin
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why he walked as a human to talk to me, man;
My, it's Odin O-o-o-o Odin O-o-o-o Odin
Well we drank lots of mead, and talked all night
Under the spluttering torches' light
He told me of fighting, of endless glory
And said, young man won't you die for me
Well I'm not the world's most spiritual guy
But when I looked in his eye, well my soul just fell to Odin,
O-o-o-o Odin O-o-o-o Odin,
Odin O-o-o-o Odin O-o-o-o Odin
I pushed the table away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
Before I passed out
I looked at him and he at me
Well that's the way that it happened, I say
And I joined the army the very next day for Odin,
O-o-o-o Odin
Fights will be fights and wars will be wars
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Odin,
O-o-o-o Odin
Well I left home just some months before
And I'd never ever been in a fight before
Then a valkyrie smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy, IŽll take you to Valhall
Well I'm not the world's most powerful man
But I'm now an Einheri, and I'm glad that I am
And so is Odin,
O-d-i-n Odin O-o-o-o Odin !
