~ Poetry by me ~

Labradorite

Unseemly grey on the outside
Neither clear nor opaque
Darkly absorbing the daylight
Streaked with lines as if cracked

Those who look deeper within you
Are awed by your splendorous shine
The iridescence of night-blue
Changing to orange sublime

A mystery of colors in fusion
Shifting, but always the same
A masterpiece of illusion
To trick the eye with its game

Cloaking your glory in dullness
Confounding the minds of men,
Your beauty in all its fullness,
Hidden one, show me again!

If you feel labradorite mirrors and the poem alludes to Odin... you´re right ;-)!
