Invocation to Njord
Njord, peace-weaver, pledge of the Vanir,
Hostage of Gods, hospitality's God,
Grant us to find for the ship of our life
Safe space in your harbour, respite from all storms.
The sea-harvest's bounty, fair riches you share;
So let's to our guests be generous and gracious,
Offer them bread and salt and protection -
Let's for each other be havens of frith.
