Heathen Housewarming Blessing

Gods bless this home and bless this hearth,
the ceiling and the floor,
And all the walls with blessings girth,
each window and each door.

All entrances be guarded,
within here and without,
And may the yard be warded
to keep the giants out.

Bless all the folks who dwell here,
the kinfolk and the guest,
Gods bless our work and bless our cheer,
and bless each place of rest.

Bless all beneath this rooftop
to dwell in frith and mirth,
Bless animals and children,
and bless all wights of worth.

So grant your shelter, As and Van,
to all who come and leave;
The frith of Gods, the frith of man,
from lintel to the eave.
