Winter Fulltrui

First stanza repeated as the burden (chorus)

Burden :
In winter's storms are shadowed shapes
Of ev'ry thing mind's eye can see
And in the Wind a voice is heard
Snow Sender sings His Ancient Lore

Another year has passed away
First Frost, First Snow have whitened world
Huntsmen and Kin will offer thanks
To Elder One, Who first Bent Bow
- Burden -

Holy Powers, First Parents were
Man's Tribes came forth in shapes They formed
Their Holy Breath gave warmth and strength
Gave will to do in mind-full ways
- Burden -

This Gift of Life, is ever earned
From babe's first breath to wight's last rasp
Through blood and tears; long days' toil
This is Man's lot if we might thrive
- Burden -

Within the glade stood strong limbed folk
Bred to the woods and hill and lea
Warded by Him, First of their Line
Guided by Him, to do own Deeds
- Burden -

Uller's wisdom, Gift to the Folk
Came in their dreams, or dawning thought
Of path to take, or thing to make
To pause, to look, to hear, to sense
- Burden -

Through sharpened wit and well-honed skills
And steadfast Bond of Kinship ties
This Folk lives proud in Elders' Sight
Have health and wealth and hearthside joy
- Burden -

As Words ring out and Drink is shared
A wind rose up and swirled the snow
A sign of Him, Who's Always There
A Sign of Him, Who Knows their Hearts
- Burden -

Another year has passed away
First Frost, First Snow have whitened world
Huntsmen and Kin will offer thanks
To Elder One, Who first Bent Bow
- Burden -
- Burden -
