The Fimbulwinter

Tonight the wind speaks forbidden secrets,
The bridge of light collapses in darkness
The Well freezes over and the Tree branch shatters
Tonight the wolves run free and wild.

Tonight the suns sets for years named three,
The serpent rises from his slumber
Tonight the shackles free from the Lie-Smith's ankles
Tonight the dark horse rides from Hel.

The trumpet blows, the banners called
Will you be wakeful on this eve?
As the sun goes down the ship will fly
Will you bear witness as the whole world dies?

Night draws forth it's forgotten lovers
A liars misfortune born in the fire.
The gallows weep and the venom spreads
Tonight demands the sacrifice.

Flaming sword and twisted antler
Crushing beast and withering poison
Seven gods fall to the World's end
Seven sons left to rule the light.

I shall hear the trumpet roaring
When the tree branch trembles, I shall rise
Word from word gave words to me,
Deed from deed gave deeds to me.

Who stands with me in the final battle?
Who will sing when the worlds reborn?
Whose sword will raise with mine to glory?
Winter is coming, beware to the fools.
