Skadhi: Mountain Goddess

In her eyes there is a clear vision,
Her hands are as steady as they are firm.
She is alone, but is not lonely,
Knows fear but is never afraid.

Her home is by a mountain stream,
A canopy of trees a covering roof.
Her floor is covered with vegetation,
There is no need of boundaries or walls.

Among the wolves she friends friendship,
A mother to an orphaned bear cub.
A survivalist in the harshest conditions,
She needs only her wits to survive.

She is a Goddess and a Jotun,
A master of death, and lover of life.
She is one with the natural world,
She is Skadhi the Mountain Goddess !
