Sigfather

Somewhere in the darkness
He waits
Where others dance the light
And hide
From shadows in the night
I am lost

Struggle fierce beckons
Despair and pain heavy
Light fading fast
Others halt
Darkness rising

He is there
I feel him
Deep in the dark
Lord of the Grave
Feeder of Ravens
Secret keeper
Madman
Killer

Struggle fierce, day waning
They halt
I strain at the leash
And cut it free
Darkness beckons
Fierce and proud
Wolf wild

Darkness wraps
Soothing and restoring
Battle beckons
The cold and fire fills me
Laughter bubbles
From Mimrs well

Corpse serpent stirs
Afraid of what wakens
Huntsmans own
Round the first root stalks
Rising from the dark

Day is done
Fear is meat
Pain is mead
Rage and joy
Lust and laughter
Brew stolen wisdom

Deep in the dark
I am restored

One eyed hanged man
Corpse king
Killers comfort
Daylight beckons;
Yields me to it
Knowing always
I return
