Old Man on the Ocean

Old man on the ocean
Tossed to and fro
Torn by life
More than battle
By indifference more than snow
The past seems to be new now
The present has lost it's glow
The future looms
As do the ancient tombs
Time to rejoin the everflow
His aged face is smiling now
His memories do shine
His Elder Friends are waiting
At the weird of Time
He knows Midgard will go on
Until the Day of the Wolf
Will he be in memory
Of those he chose
Or a passing thought
Like the rose
The old man was in my dreams
With a familiar shimmer
When I woke
This morning
He was in the fog of my mirror
