Njorðr
I hail Njorðr, God of wealth and plenty.
I celebrate the treasures He brings
forth from the sea.
I praise His tranquil nature,
He who was sent
a speace-weaver to the Æsir.
I hail His ability to reach compromise
in the most
heated of situations.
He is wise and far-seeing, gentle and open-handed.
I hail
the Master of Noatun,
Husband of Skadhi,
Father of Freyr and Freya.
Smile upon us
in our endeavors,
and in all things make our hearts fruitful, Oh Lord.
To You, God
of fair trade and exploration,
of right gain and fruitful bounty, I pray.
