My Guardian Fylgja

I search deep within my mind
In places I have never ventured
My hidden spirit there to find
My soul is Hers, I am indentured

I cannot see her, yet I know She' s real
I sense Her presence, I know She' s there
I dare not touch Her, but I know Her feel
All thoughts and feelings with Her I share

She's a ghost that resides within my soul
A gossamer thread running through my life
She holds within me an important role
Protecting me from impending strife

She is the light that guides my way
The force that joins my every thought
She helps me control the words I say
Speaking only those She knows I ought

She is called my Fylgja, my guiding spirit
A teacher, a guardian, or maybe my concious
Upon my soul is where Her love is writ
Her presence in me is to me most precious
