Laughing Lady

Giggling Gerd
Laughing lady
Where you amused
By Skirnirís words?
Coerced you were not
By shining-servantís threats
An important role you filled
The god of this world
Was wed to the land
The sacred kingship
Fast-set and firm
Hail Gerd, Etin-bride
Holder of mighty
Ancient power
And deep laid wisdom
Hail Gerd, wife of Frey
Mother of Fjolnir
Of Yngling Fame
Hail Gerd, silent queen
Lady, ever so mighty!
