Helvegr

One last time, down and North,
I go to meet my doom fixed fate.
Deep into the shadowlands,
to pass beyond Garm's guarded gate.

I tread the road, my ancestors way,
nine days on that path I'm bound.
Long into that twilight world,
and settle in the elven mound.

In-between, no veil to see,
down into the sacred nether.
I walk unto, my wyrd undone,
finally, the other side, forever.
