Heathen Kids' Poems

All-Father Odin
Swinging in a tree
He got the runes for you and me.

Wodan One-Eye
Heís all right
He plans ahead and thinks with might.

So if you want to win the day
Sing hail to Odin
Now letís run and play!

Heimdallr catch me if I fall
Youíre my windshelter broad and tall
Teacher of magic, tru and might
Heimdallr lead me in whatís right.

Nerthus lay me down to sleep
Nerthus for the earth to keep
Iíll do my part do what I can
To keep the world green Ďcause Iím your fan!

Loki likes puzzles, toys, and games
Just donít give him matches
Weíll go up in flames!

Thunder wonder
That is Thor.
Long red beard
and great big Mjollner.
He will keep us
safe at night.
Weíll never have
to lay in fright.

Sunna and Mani
The Sun and the Moon
They run around the earth
To avoid their doom!!
