Gerđa
I hail Gerda, shining bride of Frey.
I honor Her for Her self-possession,
Her
independence, Her ferocity of spirit.
She is primal power,
like a river rushing
beneath the ice.
She is raw force,
incantations whispered in the darkness,
the
embodiment of Ginungagap’s synergy.
She is silent contemplation,
the holder of
all things secret.
She is the loss that is not seen,
the holder of life that
is not born.
I hail Gerda, for all that She has taught me.
I hail Her for being the
shadow
that illuminates and nourishes Frey.
