Eu cobri-me hoje
com grandioso feito
Eu apelo aos deuses do céu e da terra.
Eu cobri-me hoje
com a força de Thor
o sábio Odin
e a façanha de Tir.
Eu cobri-me hoje
com a concha dos Anões
a profundidade dos Disir
Albos e ancestrais.
Eu cobri-me hoje
com a arte dos Céus
a luz do Sol
o brilho do Mundo
a chama do Fogo
a energia do Raide
a solidão do Vento
a profundeza dos Máres
a profundeza da Terra
e a dureza da Pedra.
Eu cobri-me hoje
com os feitos dos Ases
e artes dos Vanes.
Deuses de mim.
Deuses em mim.
Deuses próximos de mim.
Deuses entre mim.
Deuses acima de mim.
Deuses fora de mim.
onde eu também pairo
onde eu também descanso
onde eu também vou.
Eu cobri-me hoje
com grande feito
eu apelo aos Deuses do Céu e da Terra.´

Ragnar´s Armor
Today I put on
a terrible strength,
I call the Gods of heaven and earth.
Today I put on
the strength of Thor,
the wisdom of Odin
and the might of Tyr.
Today I put on
the protection of Disir,
and Alfs and Ancestors,
and knowledge of dwarfs.
Today I put on
the power of heaven,
the light of the sun,
the splendour of moon,
the blaze of the fire,
the fierceness of lightning,
the swiftness of wind,
the depth of the sea,
the firmness of earth
and the hardness of rock.
Today I put on
the power of Aesir,
the strength of the Vanir,
The Gods before me,
the Gods behind me,
the Gods beside me,
the Gods beneath me,
the Gods above me,
the Gods within me,
the Gods where I stand,
the Gods where I sit,
the Gods where I walk.
Today I put on
a terrible strength,
I call the Gods of heaven and earth,
the power of Aesir,
the might of the Vanir,
the wisdom of Odin
and the strength of Thor.
