~ Poetry by me ~
Wind That´s Always Turning
Wind That´s
Always Turning MP3
Tune: "Noël Nouvelet", France, 15th century
Wind that´s always turning,
Fire´s singeing burn,
Soul´s eternal yearning,
Wod with which I churn,
God to which I´m given,
Trickster whom I trust,
Will by which I´m driven,
wishing what I must,
Whom I follow, Wanderer
hiding from my view,
Mystery and wonder:
All this, Hár, is you.
Rider who keeps urging,
granting no reprieve,
Prize with payment merging,
mingling joy with grief,
Gallows where I´m dangling
bound to Midgard´s pain,
Noose which slowly strangling
embraces me again,
Spear by which I´m riven,
Death consuming me,
Love for which I´m living,
Liege who sets me free.
Lord for whom I´m singing,
Lavisher of lore,
Gold ring breaker, bringing
wisdom to my store,
Well of words and verses,
Weaver of my art,
Breath of universes,
Healer of my heart,
Way on which I wander,
Goal for which I´m due,
Riddle which I ponder:
All this, Hár, is you.
