Sweeter the Songs we are Singing
Sweeter the
Songs MP3
Tune: "Süßer die Glocken die klingen", trad. German carol
Sweeter the songs we are singing
Now at our kinfolk´s side,
As Midgard´s Yule bells are ringing
All through the blesséd tide.
Blessing the father, the mother, the child,
Blessing the father, the mother, the child.
Voices with jubilant sound,
Laughter and gladness abound.
Lights on the Yuletree are burning,
Soon our home will be bright,
Fair as the sunlight returning,
Putting the darkness to flight.
Shining for us in the longest of nights,
Shining for us in the longest of nights.
Voices with jubilant sound,
Laughter and gladness abound.
Gather we now with the others,
heathens from near and from far,
Aesir and Vanir and Mothers
with us, whereever we are.
Sharing our gifts in the spirit of frith,
Sharing our gifts in the spirit of frith.
Voices with jubilant sound,
Laughter and gladness abound.
