Midgard´s Isle (Gilligan´s Island Filk)
The Ballad of Gilligan´s Isle - Tune
Gilligan = Loki
Skipper = Thor
Professor = Odin
The millionaire = Njörd
The millionaire´s wife = Nerthus
The movie star = Freya
Mary Ann, the ingénue = Idunna
Just sit right back
And you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from far Asgard´s port,
Aboard Skidbladnir Ship.
The mate was a cunning sailin' man,
The skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day,
For a three lifetimes' tour,
A three lifetimes' tour.
The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
Skidbladnir would be lost.
Skidbladnir would be lost.
The ship set ground on the shore
Here on Midgard, mankind´s land,
With Loki,
And Thor as well,
With Njordhr
And Nerthus,
With Freya fair,
With Odin and with Idun,
Here on Midgard's Isle.
