Prayer from the film "The 13th Warrior":
Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother.
And my sisters and my brothers
Lo, there do I see the line of my people
Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them
In the halls of Valhalla
Where the brave may live forever.

Wikiquotes
This English text appears in the film
The 13th Warrior and was inspired by traveller Ibn Fadlan's
10th century travelling account (called Ar-Risala, "The
Journal") about the Varangian Rus, written in Arabic.
According to the account, the original was spoken by a slave girl
during a ship burial ritual, following her deceased master to death.
