Odhin or Calling Down The Hunt
Tune: Ralph Stanley's "Oh Death" as presented here on YouTube.

Odhin
Odhin
Won't you pass me over for another year

Thought and Memory are His friends
I Forget He also sends
High words of his are very sage
He also gives you battle rage

Odhin someone would say
Could you wait to call me for another day
The children play the healers heal
Time and mercy are not of your weal

You freed our feet so we can walk
You seized the runes so we can talk
You gave your eye so you could see
You hanged for us upon the Tree

Odhin
Odhin
Won't you pass me over for another year

Well what is this that I can't see
With ice cold hands taking hold of me
Well he is death none can expel
He’ll open the door to Valhol or Hel

Odhin comes to hunt your soul
This time of wind and rain and cold
Black hounds of his will course and bell
Over earth and sky right down to Hel

Odhin how you're chasing me
Your hounds I hear but can’t yet see
Well you're hunting my body you make me cold
You’ll run my life right out of my soul

Odhin
Odhin
Won't you pass me over for another year

My mother she came to give me a spear
She said with Him to never fear
Upon my soul is his mark knotted
He’ll take my soul before blood is clotted

Odhin please consider my age
Please don't make me do the rage
My wealth is all at your command
If you'll remove your icy hand

Oh the young the rich or poor
All alike to Him you can be sure
No wealth no land no silver or gold
Nothing satisfies Him but your soul

Odhin
Odhin
Won't you pass me over for another year
Won't you pass me over for another year
Won't you pass me over for another year

I do not recommend actual calling by the faint of heart or those not deadly serious.
