Nerthus, Earth Mother
Nerthus, Earth Mother
Goddess of Terra
Milk of Audhumla runs through your roots
Soil of rime, goat, squirrel and eagle
Kneading hamingja in your pot, blankets of owl feathers.
You push fire, waters flow
Sanctity of dirt you remind us.
Nerthus
Blessed is the Earth, your earth, your bounty
Holy is the cows sacrificial blood as it streams to the mud
Bathing in the lake Priests gladly return to you.
Lady of Earth's veil
