A Frey Chant          A Frey Chant MP3

The harvest now has come,
Join me everyone,
Lift up your voices high,
For Frey comes riding by.

See him there adorned,
With harvest wheat and corn,
As he comes riding by,
He gives you a wink of his eye.

Good fortune be with you,
Good heathen folk and true,
Here he comes again,
For Frey comes riding by .

Women’s hearts beat fast,
As Frey goes riding past,
Fertility he brings,
and fills them with good things.

Men-folk he does bring
the promise of good spring,
And babies all around,
sons and daughters abound,

As Frey goes riding past,
He brings the harvest at last.

As Frey goes riding by,
As Frey goes riding by,
As Frey goes riding by.
