Ygg

Ygg – du skrækkelige!
Ygg – du er skrækken!
Ygg – du suser gennem hele kroppen,
og alle hårene rejser sig.

Ygg – og hele træet bliver til et lyn fra jord til himmel!
Ygg – du er lynet! Farer
fra fødderne igennem ryggens led
til hovedet og ud i verden!

Ygg – skræk, når verden suser alle vegne fra
og samles i mit hoved, i min ryg,
i fødderne og strømmer ned i jorden,
som jeg elsker!

Skræk, skræk!
Ygg! Odin! Du er skrækken!
Fordi jeg dør, jeg bliver borte -
og klarhed brænder alle tanker bort.


Ygg

Ygg - You terrible one!
Ygg - You are terror!
Ygg - You rush through my body,
and all my hairs stand on end.

Ygg - and the whole tree becomes a lightning flash!
Ygg - you are lightning! You race
from feet through the vertebrae
to the head, and out to the world!

Ygg - terror, when the world comes charging from everywhere
and cumulates in my head, in my back,
and flows through the feet into the earth,
the earth which I love!

Terror, Terror!
Ygg! Odin! You are Terror!
Because I die, vanish -
and clarity burns away every thought.
