Riddle

Quicksilver
Plucked out his eye,
Dropped it
Into deep water.
The wings on his helmet lengthened.
Now he wanders the world
In a worn blue cloak;
Hangs himself from
Ash-trees;
Rouses the dead
To raise an army;
Begets his Father,
Who becomes his Son;
And pours out mead
For Poets...
Who is it ?

Paul Edwin Zimmer
