To Frey

The boar-helm’s bearer has blessed us greatly:
Sweden’s warder, Njord’s well-known son
has sent us forth to help the folk.

Now no hof stands near the howes --
the southern King has claimed the land,
driven the rightful ruler from home.

Still, some have stayed steadfast and true;
Frey has his friends among our folk,
those he has wakened to ways long-hidden.

Let seed long-hidden bring harvests forth,
let new kin rise where none have been!
Where ashes lie on barren earth,
let holy groves spring green again!
