Sleipnir
Hail Sleipnir,
deified horse
great steed of Woden.
You are the link between worlds;
your eight strong legs trod the skies
connecting the nine words
from Asgard to Helheim.
Son of Loki ,
mother of wild creature,
you were accepted by Woden
who carved the runes upon your tongue.
You embody the strength and the power
which comes from Woden's wisdom.
From this I know:
The Voluspa seeress lied about Ragnarok;
for she mentioned you not at the end.
I know you world never abandon the Wild Rider
to die by the Wolf's jaws.
If you were not there
then the tale is a lie,
told by a revengful dead etin spook.
Thus I now learn I great truth,
Ragnarok is an etin lie,
for that,
I thank you
Sleipnir.
