Firelight upon the wall
mortal shadows dance
The hand of Asgard
toys with the flame
Heroes made great
heroes cast down
The will of the Gods
ever ready to change
Safety traded for Freedom
Peace traded for Wealth
Wounds traded for Fame
Kin traded for Vengeance
Mortality becomes a song
in the mouths of Skalds
Asgard deals in Fates
Wyrd both cruel and kind
A crucible of gold and blood
in which our legends are forged
