Hunter's Moon
Soundfile: Hunter´s
Moon.m4a (external link on The
Meadhall )
Hear how the wolf howls in the night
Singing his song, somber and clear;
Oh, how it rings! Restless, my heart
Longs to be free, follow him now.
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon,
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon.
Ravens so bold ride on the wind--
Thought taking flight, things I have known.
Memories dear, moments of life
Flicker and flash, flames dancing high.
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon,
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon.
Wide is the world, wandering long,
Greeted as foe, greeted as friend.
Knowledge I seek; knowledge I share.
Listen and learn; lore passes on.
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon,
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon.
Tall is the tree, touching the sky;
Wind in the leaves whispers my name.
Deep is the well, dreaming of fate.
What can it show, what do I see?
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon,
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon.
Swans taking wing, swiftly they fly,
Follow the Hunt, follow the horn.
Words come to life, woven of dream--
Ancient the song, answer the call.
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon,
Ah, under the Hunter's Moon.
