Hail to the Healer,
Kathy of the healing hands, easy laugh, gentle smile
passed from our lives and on to her kin
to the welcoming gods beyond.
Hail to the Healer
Nurse of long years, friend of long trust
secret keeper, oath holder, comfort giver
wife, mother, and teacher.
Hail to the healer
Gone to the gods,
given to the fire,
sleeps beneath the tall tree.
Rest and be welcome;
gone beyond duty
passed beyond pain
but not beyond memory.
