West I wend cart-bound god
frith-bringer to the folk
Bounty-herald at harvest I come
lord of gifted grain
Far my journey long the road
dark nights have I travelled
Let kindred gather mead horns raise
bright torches shine the hall
Mirth-blessing I bring glad, Rig's children
winternights feast freely shared
