Einheri the Eighth

I'm Einheri the eighth I am, Einheri the eighth I am, I am;
I got slaughtered at the start of the war,
when only seven had been killed before -
but every one was an einheri
they didn't get a farmer or a thrall.
I'm the eighth man to die who's now an einheri:
and I'm drinking mean in mighty Odhin's hall.

I'm Einheri the eighth I am, Einheri the eighth I am, I am
The Saxon who got me's now a very sick man
and I'm at his bedside with the rest of my clan.
And every one is an einheri:
no one died while drinking or in bed.
For unless you die in battle you're no einheri -
and soon that bloody Saxon will be dead!
