Deep in the Valley

Deep in the Valley the dark clouds begin to gather,
The people in the village await the impending storm.
With hope in their hearts, that their prayers have been heard,
The winds begin to grow in strength;

The thunder echoes off the mountain sides,
And lightning brightens the sky,
One drop falls from the clouds, then two,
It begins to rain deep in the valley;

The people gather outside of their cottages and dance with joy,
After a long wait the drought has ended deep in the valley,
"Hail, Donar bringer of rains."
