Bolverk travelled

Bolverk travelled in eagle's shape
Gunnloð once won, the mead he'd take
to Asgarð, poets' gift to bear;
but sent some 'out backwards' - the rhymester's share.

Now rhymes do not a poem make
though for this verse end rhymes I'll wake:
meaning and flow the sense requires
before to 'poetry' verse aspires,
scansion and metre lines demand
- let Oski guide the poet's hand.
