A Hymn to Frey
Founder of the Ynglings
Wooer of Gerd
God of Frith and Plenty
Let our prayers be heard
The time had come for planting
We gathered in the field
We have sown our wheat and barley
We pray now for good yield
Give us peace and plenty, Frey,
fill our hearts with cheer
May the harvest times be fruitful, Lord,
and banish all our fear.
Travel in your wagon
Move from town to town
We will honor you with tribute
And lay our weapons down
Bravest of all warriors
Lordly and strong
Bless us now with quiet times
And let the peace be long
Give us peace and plenty, Frey,
fill our hearts with cheer
May the harvest times be fruitful, Lord,
and banish all our fear.
Give us peace and plenty, Frey,
fill our hearts with cheer
May the harvest times be fruitful, Lord,
and banish all our fear.
