For God, King and Country
We must go forth now, my fellows.
The voice of our great God bellows
And bids us obey the vestry.
All for God, King and Country!
Our God, so peaceful and loving,
Wills us burn our foes to nothing.
His will is spoken through conclaves
Who want to make strangers His slaves.
Believe us now, all and sundry,
All for God, King and Country!
We must go forth now, my brethren,
And take up work for our sovereign.
We are servants of the gentry;
All for our God, King and Country!
The noble houses give us bread
While our work made them a banquet.
We still owe them enormous debt.
We toil for them and do not fret.
Toil for us now, all and sundry,
All for God, King and Country!
We must go forth now, my subject,
Do not even think to object.
In this land we are the sentry.
All for God, King and Country!
The nation to which we are born
Is innocent and free of scorn.
Care not for others we destroy!
Patriots, to battle deploy!
Fight for us now, all and sundry,
All for God, King and Country!
